 Anti-wrinkle injections, commonly referred to as "Botox," are one of the most popular aesthetic treatments globally—and for good reason. They offer a highly effective, non-surgical way to soften those dynamic lines that form from years of smiling, frowning, and squinting. 

 At Wight Aesthetic Clinic, we are committed to providing you with safe, effective, and tailored  wrinkle softening treatments. That's why we work with two industry-leading botulinum toxin type A brands: Merz Aesthetics' Bocouture and Allergan's Botox. 

 Both Bocouture and Botox use a highly purified protein (Botulinum Toxin Type A) that is expertly injected into specific facial muscles. This protein temporarily blocks the nerve signals that tell the muscle to contract. When the muscle relaxes, the skin above it smooths out, significantly reducing the appearance of lines like:

• Frown lines (the '11s' between your eyebrows)
• Crow's feet (lines around the eyes)
• Forehead lines (horizontal lines across the brow)
• Masseters (to relax and reduce the size of the jaw/masseter muscles)
• Platysma (to relax the appearance of vertical neck lines)
• DAO  (to relax the DAO muscle and address the downward-turned mouth)

• Botulinum toxin A is a prescription-only medication, and you must have a face-to-face consultation with a medical professional who will help you to decide if this treatment is right for you.
• The results of this treatment are temporary. You will typically notice effects within a few days after the injections, which usually last between three and five months. To maintain results, it is recommended to have repeat injections every four to six months.
• This treatment is generally considered safe, but like any injectable medication, it can cause possible side effects such as allergic reactions or infections. All potential risks will be discussed in detail during your initial consultation so you can make an informed decision about whether this treatment is right for you.
• There is no downtime after the injections, but you will be asked to follow a few simple post-treatment instructions, such as not applying makeup for a few days and avoiding touching the treated areas for several hours.
