Alcohol is a vasodilator and will bring more blood to your face, hence, making you more prone to bleed during the treatment.
Strenuous physical exercises as drinking alcohol work as a vasodilator too and will bring more blood to your face, hence, making you more prone to bleed during the treatment. We would also advice you to refrain from drinking alcohol and visiting gym/exercising in the evening after the treatment for the same reasons.
To minimize the risk of introducing infection to the treated areas, try not to touch or rub the area for at least 6 hours after the treatment and avoid visiting swimming pools and saunas for the next 72 hours.
Again, to minimise the chances of introducing infection to a treated areas, take a simple measures of changing your pillow case and wipe clean your mobile phone/glasses in the evening you had a treatment. We would normally offer you alcohol wipes at the end of the appointment.
Anti-inflammatory medicine, like ibuprofen, can make you bleed more easily, so better to avoid before any injectable or invasive treatments. If you would like to have a pain relief before or after the treatment, paracetamol tablets will be the best.
Good chances are that we are not going to treat you anyway as viral illness will be a contraindication for most of our treatments. The best way, to call us in advance and rebook!
