Profhilo® Treatments:
What is Profhilo®?
Designed to improve skin laxity of face, neck, and decolletage, it promotes the restoration of firmness, tone and elasticity of tissues in an authentic way.
Profhilo® has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market (64mg / 2ml) which boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue.
Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Then, unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, improving hydration in the deeper layers of the skin. The stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid. Results include the improvement of the skin’s texture, firmness and radiance in addition to reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
What to expect on the day of treatment?
On arrival to the clinic, one of our medical practitioners will conduct a thorough consultation and examination to rule out possible contraindications for the Profhilo® treatment and make sure that this treatment is suitable for you. You would be expected to sign a consent form and there will be plenty of time to answer your questions. The treatment itself takes no more than 15-20 minutes, during this time 10 injections will be carefully placed just under your skin. If you feel anxious about needles and injections, please discuss this with our medical practitioner who will be able to help you.
What should I do after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment, there might be slight redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated areas. These reactions are temporary and generally disaster within few days. It would be expected that you avoid touching the treatment areas for at least 6 hours after the procedure, do not expose your face to extreme hit and wear SPF 50. We would also advise you to avoid strenuous exercises and use of swimming pools for the next 72 hours as well as avoiding drinking alcohol for the next 24 hours after the treatment.
How to maintain the results?
An initial cycle of two Profhilo® treatment sessions at 4-6 weeks interval is recommended, followed by a maintenance treatments every 4-6 months.
It is expected that you will see an improvement 2-4 weeks after your second treatment. To maintain result we would advise you to have maintenance treatments every 4-6 months.
