Wrinkles are creases (folds and ridges) in the skin that naturally appear as we get older. They happen as the skin gets thinner, drier, and less elastic. The ability of the skin to protect itself from damage also diminishes over time, which can contribute to the formation of wrinkles (on face known as frown lines, crow's feet and so on).
