 Weight loss injections are prescription medications that, when combined with diet and exercise, can help with weight loss by suppressing hunger and reducing food cravings. At our clinic, we work with Eli Lilly's brand Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) and Novo Nordisk's brand Wegovy (Semaglutide). 

We only use licenced, UK approved pharmaceutical suppliers, ensuring all our medications are genuine and fully regulated, who supply exclusively to registered health care businesses. Never from unverified online sources.  

 In the UK, a variety of prescription weight loss medications are available, each designed to aid individuals in their weight management journey. These medications primarily function by targeting specific receptors in the brain and gastrointestinal tract. By doing so, they effectively diminish feelings of hunger and create a sense of fullness. Additionally, they may slow the movement of food through the digestive system, allowing for prolonged satisfaction after meals (Mounjaro). This dual mechanism not only helps curb your appetite but also supports healthier eating habits, making it easier to adhere to a weight loss program. 

One injection a week is needed to achieve desired results.  After starting the injections, the dose  will need to be reviewed and adjusted at regular intervals. To maintain the results you will need to continue injecting one dose every week. There are 4 doses in one weight loss pen, needles included.

 Not everyone is a suitable candidate for these injections. There are specific indications, contraindications, and potential side effects that must be considered. At Wight Aesthetic Clinic, we provide a thorough consultation with one of our doctors to discuss the benefits and risks associated with these injections. This will be a face to face consultation in out clinic in Newport city centre. If necessary, we can also demonstrate how to inject and supervise the first injection.

 You will have an opportunity to ask any questions during your consultation. We also have a page on our website  for those already on Mounjaro, to provide them with the essential information and advice . 

Please note it is appointment only service and you need a face to face consultation to assess if the treatment is a good option for you. Please book online below, call us or e-mail. 

There is a 50£ deposit when you book the appointment, which is deducted from the first payment (for example, you start 2.5mg, which is  £225 -50£ so on the day you pay 175£). Please see the price list on our website for the full range of doses. 

After the appointment is booked, you receive a form to fill - please fill the form before you attend as this helps the assessment on the day.
